Geraldine Edith Elmer (former pupil)

  • Left School: 1962
  • School friends I remember: My friends throughout school were: Best friends Mary Conroy, Sheila Glennon, Margaret Flynn. Others in the class were: Geraldine O'shea, Geraldine Reynolds, Frances Louis.
  • Teachers I remember: Brother Bede, Miss Trow, Mr Minahan, Miss Conti, Miss Philomena McElhone, Sister Mercedes, Brother Nilus.
  • Memories of my teachers:

Brother Bede was my music teacher for the Church Choir.
Miss Trow was my teacher in the last year.
I attended Mr Minahan's wedding (he was my Geography teacher) & sang solo (in Latin) at St. Chad's in Birmingham. He married my French Teacher Miss Conti.
My first year teacher was Miss Philomena McElhone & she was a bridesmaid at the above wedding.
My cookery teacher & favourite of all was Sister Mercedes. She spoilt me rotten!
    Brother Nilus was our Headmaster

IT WAS A STRICT BUT GREAT SCHOOL & I LOVED IT. I NEVER HAVE OR WOULD FORGET THE TEACHING I RECEIVED THERE.

  • After school:
  • Up until 4yrs ago I resided in Cape Town South Africa (for 27yrs). My son & daughter & grandbabies still reside there & I return every Dec to Feb with my partner.

I would love to hear from anyone who remembers me.
