New in 2005 Eton Lodge opened it’s doors to it’s very first guests last Easter. Run by children’s author / illustrator Stewart Lees and his wife Caren (with occasional help from their children), Eton Lodge is a comfortable, relaxing haven superbly situated in a peaceful enclave just 500 metres from Hunstanton’s award winning beaches.

Built in 1878 from brick and locally quarried carrstone, the generously proportioned interior of the house has been given a bright, uncluttered and contemporary feel whilst still retaining many of its original features.

This popular B&B is also just steps away from Hunstanton’s theatre, it’s bustling High Street and it’s many lively bars and cafes.

Accommodation

 

Three guest rooms: the Lavender room, the Bluebell room and the Norfolk Sands room

  • All the rooms are centrally heated and double glazed.
  • Each room has items to cover most minor emergencies, from insect bites to sunburn and from cuts and grazes to a forgotten toothbrush.
  • All rooms are equipped with a TV/DVD, alarm clock/radio, hairdryer, and tea/coffee making facilities.
  • Each room has its own mini fridge stocked daily with fresh milk and bottles of mineral water.

 

The Lavender Room
South facing, sunny and airy, this well proportioned room seems to capture the freshness of the famous Norfolk lavender. Here you can indulge in the luxury of a king-size bed and refreshing power shower.

Soft luxurious towels are provided along with a selection of complimentary toiletries.

The Bluebell Room
Just outside the window of the Bluebell room the back garden teems with bird life. The room itself has been finished in soft colours that echo the tones of Norfolk in summer.
The television has a built in DVD player while an alarm clock/radio and a hairdyer are also provided.
The room's en-suite bathroom offer both a bath and a shower and is equipped with complimentary toiletries ans soft towels.

The Norfolk Sands room
A charming room in relaxing tones with light, contemporary furnishings that reflect the colours and mood of the endless Norfolk beaches. The Norfolk Sands room features a large and inviting en-suite bathroom with both a shower and a full size bath and relaxing, aromatic bath oils are amongst the complimentary toiletries!

 

Other Facilities at Eton Lodge B&B

 

  • The sunny, south facing, breakfast room also serves as a lounge and is always available to guests.
  • There are books, board games, local maps, a TV, along with DVDs and videos.
  • A water cooler dispenses ice cold mineral water at any time of the day or night.
  • Off street parking and secure, dry storage for cycles.

We do ask guests who smoke not to do so anywhere in the house but the rear garden is easily accessed and smokers are welcome to enjoy a quiet puff amongst the roses and fuchsias!
